I’m a daughter to two wonderful parents who were raised in Jamaica but made their home in Britain. Their values and culture have greatly influenced who I am today. I'm the sister in a big, lively family with six siblings, and as you can imagine, life is always full of love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos. Beyond that, I’m a sister in Christ to many, and I cherish the bonds and support that come from my faith community.

I’m also a proud mum of three young adults who, despite being grown, still manage to keep me on my toes every day, and an aunty to 21 nieces and nephews (almost 22) who fill my life with even more joy and energy. Professionally, I’ve dedicated myself to education—I’m a primary school teacher with years of experience, and I've also spent time as an after-school tutor, helping children to thrive academically outside of regular school hours.

In 2013, I made a life-changing decision to pull my kids out of school and begin our home education journey. This was a pivotal moment in my life, and it’s where the idea for 1Point3Family truly took shape, though the seed was planted long before that. The name and the mission behind it were born out of my deep passion for providing the best possible education and support to my children, and it quickly grew into something much bigger—an opportunity to support other families on their educational journeys as well.

This journey of home education has profoundly shaped who I am today, fueling my passion to help others navigate the challenges and joys of educating their children, whether they are in a traditional school setting or learning at home. My experience has shown me the value of community, support, and a strong foundation, and I’m here to share that with all of you.
