Welcome to 1Point3Family

Hi, I’m Sophia.

I’m a mum, a qualified primary school teacher, and a home educating parent. The children you see here are mine, back when they were younger and being home educated. This website is for parents like you. Parents who are already on the journey, just starting out, or quietly thinking, “Could we do this?” Parents who feel called to home educate but are not always sure how it is meant to look in real life. If you have felt excited and overwhelmed at the same time, you are not alone. I have been there too.

The three books you see down below an be downloaded for free inside my Skool community. The community is an active space where we support families by focusing on one thing at a time. It is not a passive group to sit quietly in and scroll. It is for parents who are ready to engage, learn, and take steady steps forward. This is more than a Facebook group. It is a space for families who want to take back control of their children’s education and educate with purpose, clarity, and confidence.

I have lived both sides of education. I have taught in schools, and I have educated my children at home. That matters, because it means I understand the pressures, the expectations, and the gaps parents are often left trying to fill on their own. I created 1Point3Family because education is never just about academics. It shapes identity, faith, habits, confidence, and family life. Learning does not happen in isolation, and neither should parents. This space exists to support families who want to educate with intention, not fear. Families who care about wisdom, not just ticking boxes. Families who want education to fit real life, not compete with it.

At the heart of everything here is a simple belief: we build families, not just students.

These are my children, and they have their own digital footprints. They are involved in the Skool community and often join us to share their experiences and perspectives from their own journeys. Their voices bring real insight, encouragement, and honesty to the space, especially for families wondering what home education can look like in the long term.

1POINT3CURRICULUM is designed specifically for home education

It is not school at home.

It is Christian, chronological, and confidence-building, following a clear progression from Year 1 to Year 8 through the Discover, Build, and Lead stages. What this looks like in real life:

short, focused lessons
clear plans for parents so you are not guessing
biblical faith woven naturally throughout

The Discover, Build, Lead Pathway

DISCOVER is about taking in knowledge, learning new ideas, words and facts,

building a strong base they can return to again and again.

BUILD is about understanding and using what has been learned. Children

practise skills, make connections, and begin to explain their thinking with

growing confidence.

LEAD is about reasoning and expression. Children discuss ideas, ask thoughtful

questions, and learn to communicate what they think and why.

1Point3Curriculum exists to serve families, not control them. It gives parents a clear path to follow, while leaving space for children to think, question, talk, and grow. Learning is steady, intentional, and rooted in truth, not pressure.

Families come here because they want education to make sense. They want to know why they are teaching what they are teaching, and where it is leading. This space exists to offer that clarity, one step at a time.
