About 1Point3Curriculum

1Point3Curriculum is a Christian home education programme designed to support families in providing a broad and balanced education in line with Section 7 of the Education Act 1996. The curriculum is written to help parents plan, deliver, and evidence suitable education at home, while remaining firmly parent-led.

Our Worldview and Approach

We teach from a Biblical, young-earth Christian worldview, with Scripture and Jesus Christ as our foundation across all subjects. Alongside this, we also introduce children to mainstream secular viewpoints where appropriate. For example, in science, children learn the Biblical account of creation while also being made aware of commonly taught ideas such as the Big Bang and the belief that the universe is billions of years old. These perspectives are presented for understanding and context, not endorsement. We are clear that the “billions of years” view is a theory widely accepted in mainstream science but not one we subscribe to. Our aim is to equip children to recognise, understand, and thoughtfully engage with ideas they may encounter in wider education and culture, while being secure in a Biblical framework.

What We Provide

Our curriculum covers the following subjects:

• Mathematics

• English

• Science (taught from a Biblical worldview, with mainstream theories introduced for context)

• Geography

• History

• Bible (integrated as a cross-curricular foundation)

Families receive structured weekly PDF plans, supported by video resources and recommended reading. Many suggested resources are freely available online, with some optional books recommended for purchase.

The programme is designed to support learning at home without replicating a school classroom. We believe home education is a lifestyle, not “school at home”.

Parents remain the primary educators of their children. Our role is to equip, guide, and support families — not to replace parental responsibility.

Accountability and Optional Support

Families may choose to add an Accountability Tier, which includes:

• A diagnostic review before enrolment to establish a child’s starting point

• Submission of work samples every three weeks for feedback and guidance (images must show work only; children’s faces should not be included unless blurred)

• Parent support sessions, including online coffee mornings, to build confidence and community

This optional support helps families evidence progress and structure while parents retain full responsibility for teaching and safeguarding.

Our Role and Boundaries

1Point3Curriculum is a curriculum and support framework, not a school.

We do not:

• provide daily teaching or classroom-style instruction

• liaise directly with Local Authorities

• take responsibility for safeguarding

Parents using our curriculum are responsible for their child’s education and wellbeing. However, the curriculum is designed so families can confidently demonstrate that their child’s education is planned, suitable, broad, and appropriate if required.
