Words Passed Down: Year 1 English Curriculum
Is your child just beginning to write and form sentences with confidence?
Words Passed Down: Foundations 1 gently introduces your child to the basics of reading and writing. Over 27 weeks, they learn how to build simple sentences, use capital letters and full stops, and begin expressing their ideas clearly. Each week includes reading, discussion, vocabulary, speaking, and simple writing tasks, all designed to be calm and manageable. Your child will practise saying sentences out loud, writing them carefully, and checking their work. With clear guidance throughout, you can support your child step by step as they grow in confidence and begin their writing journey.
